January's litter pick shows how much rubbish ends up at the sides of the roads and in public spaces.

Parish councillor Matt Nightingale, with volunteers, organises regular litter picks in the winter, while the vegetation is low.

Matt says, "It's great exercise, a social event and really improves the local area. There is no reason why I wouldn't do it."
