Marilyn Stone is our Membership Officer & Election Agent

Marilyn was elected on to High Halstow Parish Council in 2019.  Marilyn in a hardworking and committed member of the party and has been focussed heavily of fighting the volume housebuilders in High Halstow and is fighting to stop the Housing Infrastructure Fund (HIF) being used to open the Peninsula up to excessing and unsustainable growth.

Mary Smith is our Treasurer
Mary joined the Green Party in 1950 and is longest standing member of our core team, she is critical to our operations.

Catriona Jamieson is our Fundraising Officer & Priority 2 Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Lead

Catriona stood for Rochester West in the 2019 Local Election and is extremely active in her community whilst also raising a young family.  Catriona is our Climate, Change & Sustainability Lead. Catriona is also studying towards a post graduate diploma in environment and sustainability at Birkbeck University.

Kate Belmonte is our Press & Media Officer and Priority 3 Covid Recovery for People, Planet & Profit Lead

Kate stood as a candidate for Twydall Ward in the 2019 Local Elections and has been extremely active in the party ever since.  She has been heavily involved in the Save Our Orchards campaign in Rainham and is passionate about protecting Medway from Over-Development and ensuring Medway Council take the Climate Emergency seriously. She is our Covid Recovery; for People, Planet & Profit Lead.

Sonia Hyner is our Priority 4 Target To Win Lead

Sonia stood for Rochester West in 2018 by election and for The Peninsula in 2019 Local Elections.  She stood as our Parliamentary Candidate for Rochester & Strood in 2017 and for Chatham & Aylesford in 2019.   Sonia has been a member of The Green Party since March 2015.

 "I became a party member following a higher education course that looked at how many world's we are using in terms of finite resources. My reading then looked at the world in terms of politics being inextricably linked between environment and economy, which is a different vision from all the other parties"

Local Planning

Bernard Hyde is our Priority 1 Protect Medway from Over-Development Lead
Bernard is an architect with has previously worked in Town Planning.  He is a specialist in Eco Builds and is dedicated to protecting The Peninsula from further development which would be disastrous for our natural world.

Bernard was our Parliamentary candidate for the Chatham and Aylesford constituencey in 2017.
