Medway Green Party Supporting Global Climate Strike

Join us on Friday 20th September between 9am and 6pm as Students & Workers worldwide combine forces and demand immediate action against climate change. Medway has been identified for development on a scale that is both unwanted and not needed.

Central government has specified that Medway Council must allow the building of 30,000 new homes by 2035! Now that both central and local government has finally declared a Climate Emergency we are demanding that such excessive growth be drastically reduced!

The protest will begin and 9am, at 3.30pm we will begin marching along the A2 down in Chatham High Street where we will meet with the Medway Youth Climate Change Movement and The Unions finishing at 6pm.

Protest Location: at the junction of the A2 and Woodlands Road on the publicly accessible green space. Additional sites along the A2 are also being prepared so watch this space for more information and please share share share all welcome :-)
